A Guide to Transformation- Sample example Internet, Mobile and Tab Banking

Secure, compliant, clear, fast, responsive- These are the words which first to mind when discussing Internet banking. However the world is changing fast and new criteria emerge.
While every organisation is striving to grab a share on the internet savvy customers, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep web visitors interested to stay long enough to provide any tangible output for the organisation.
Its very interesting to note that the human attention span in the new technology world has now lower than even a Goldfish which held the crown of lowest attention span (9 seconds) for a long time.

First slide

Attention Span -> 9 Seconds

Humans have topped it

Attention Span -> 7 Seconds

What’s critical of course is Fit- for- purpose.

Today Internet Channel needs to be thoroughly collaborated with mobile and tablet with same user experience so that a smooth flow over could happen when the customers shift channels.
Due to the fact that a number of complex applications run in the background in all decent size organisations, typically financial institutions, common flowing UX becomes a task, not just to handle front end but also integration with these back end applications.

Start Ups

Disruption is a key statement for every aspect of business today. Most important fact for every start-up is that they need to be disruptive and disruption is not possible without a basic level of digitisation . Great ideas need to be translated into the technology “correctly”.
At Phase-Shift we are very much aware of the fact that any start up begins its journey with some great ideas and thoughts. It is very natural that execution of these ideas are not always 100% planned through. The business objectives vary from time criticality to a minimum functional viability for each start up, however one thing remains common is that these businesses are evolving . And that possibly is their fulcrum of success. Having supported start-up before, Phase-Shift knows this all too well.
We help start-ups to run their programs on Objective basis and help them deliver those with “Optimal Technology” injection, keeping all the flexibility needed to make sure that the evolvement process is not hindered.
We are able to offer services from the very beginning of defining their business goals, translating them into technology, selecting right platforms and ultimately delivering and supporting these for a success full growing organisation.

Crowd Funding

Crowd Funding is another unconventional lending using technology. Conventionally different types of loans are arranged by a Bank or a non bank which has a large stable fund source. However in crowd funding, the model is reversed. Instead of using a large single fund source, which is controlled by one entity, fund is sourced from multiple so-called investors who have surplus cash. Typically this is targeted as charities or social benefits with some of them also expecting returns (e.g. Equity crowd funding).

P2P Lending

P2P lending model is very much meant for disrupting the typical banking debt cycle. Technology may be based strongly at its roots. Entrepreneurial projects are selected for funding and a central P2P entity then looks for small investors who may want to invest their money in these projects. The investors could pick and choose a project they want to invest in look for better than average high street bank returns. There is a risk involved but it is limited to the amount invested, which is usually small (for one particular project). Generally like any other investment - higher the risk, higher are the rewards.

Microfinance

In a microfinance institution, the funding is typically meant for financial inclusive un-banked population who do not have access to funds. Micro Entrepreneurs in this field are usually farmers, dairy farmers, small carpenters etc. in developing world. Funding usually happens through large charitable organisations such as Bill Gates foundation etc. and has an extremely high agenda on social benefits.
